Kendell is a Charleston-based singer-songwriter blending rock, Americana and folk into emotionally resonant, concept-driven songs. Rather than traditional storytelling, her songs explore a central idea, tension, or perspective, giving each its own distinct personality and sound. After a career in public accounting, Kendell found her way into music while raising three boys, eventually learning piano and guitar before moving into poetry, songwriting, and performing. Drawing from poetry, observation, and inner convictions, Kendell creates music that moves from intimate and reflective to raw and powerful.
